CLAIRE Y. CHU, M.D.

Claire Y. Chu, M.D. became a partner at Newman & Taub Vision center in January of 2016. Dr. Chu obtained all her medical training right here in Texas after earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Berkeley. She received her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She then attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas for her ophthalmology residency. Dr. Chu is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. She joined Newman & Taub Vision Center after a successful practice in Greenville and Rockwall, Texas. Dr. Chu serves on the Dallas Academy Ophthalmology board of directors, is a clinical instructor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and also participated in a medical mission trip to Belize.
