Blepharitis

BlepharitisOne of the most effective treatments is keeping the lids clean. In the past, this consisted of lid scrubs with warm water and baby shampoo. Now we employ lid cleansing products such as Avenova and Hypochor. Additional therapy includes lubrication with drops and ointments as well as topical antibiotics. For patients whose blepharitis is not responsive to treatment listed above, we have incorporated “Blephex” treatment. This treatment scrubs the lid margins and base of lashes.
