LARRY R. TAUB, M.D.

Larry R. Taub, M.D. grew up in Dallas and attended J. J. Pearce High School. He graduated from Duke University in Durham, NC, and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He did his ophthalmology training at Emory University, where he was honored to be Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. Following his residency, he joined the faculty of Emory University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor, and the first general Ophthalmologist on the staff. During his tenure, he became the Director of Comprehensive Ophthalmology at The Emory Clinic, and the head of Ophthalmology at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta. In 1998, Dr. Taub and his family moved back to the Dallas area to join Dr. Newman in practice. He served as president of the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology from 2007-2008 and is currently on their board. Dr. Taub has been recognized each year by “D” Magazine’s “Best Doctors” list since 2005 and Texas Monthly’s “Super Doctors” since 2004.
